Lily Khoo Says: Penang Day 2

Woke up early in the morning, showered, dress up, put on light make up, wake the 2 piggies up and ready to go for 2nd day outing. :) I'm like their mom during this 3 days 2 nights trip. I'm so independent like that, I can wake up when the alarm rings. They are totally different from me. Completely, I say, COMPLETELY cannot hear the alarm is ringing. wtf

Had Wan Tan Mee and Hot Milo as breakfast. They had Penang White Coffee instead. According to them, their White Coffee is awesome ! For me, the people who prepare my drink, put too much of condensed milk, super sweet and milky. :x

1st stop : Penang Hill

We took Rapid Penang from Komtar to Penang Hill, RM2. If I'm not mistaken, it takes around 30 minutes bus ride to reach Penang Hill from Komtar.

I remember, the last time I'm here is when I'm 12. We took this red colour tram up the hill, super slow. The tram that time is like, some special cable the pull the tram up. When there's lots of people inside the tram, it will take forever to reach the top of the hill.

Now, they upgraded it. Is much more faster and still using the special cable to pull the tram up. But I think some electrical magnetic reaction happen too, like Light Railway Train, hence is quite fast.

Penang Hill changed alot. I remember my friends and I rented their bikes and cycled back then. And I sprained my right ankle when I fell. But now, there's no more bikes for you to rent. :(

It looks like on the flat ground, but it is not ! Is on a really steep hill. As steep as 70 degree. If there's no brake and cable supporting the tram, the tram will slide down the hill, and crash something, and we all die inside. wtf

2nd stop : Kek Lok Si Temple

We had our lunch with a group of Taiwan backpackers we met at Penang Hill. We brought them to the famous Asam Laksa stall near Kek Lok Si Temple.

Satisfied. :D

3rd stop : Tanjung Bungah Beach

We played water sports there ! Only 1 though. The sky started to get cloudy, and by the time we finished the 1st sport, it drizzle. :(

SUPER AWESOME ! We all scream and laugh so much. Super fun ! Recommended. :)

1 thing bad about this beach is, there's no public washroom. 3 of us are like homeless people, we sneak into Flamingo hotel and use their public washroom to wash up and change. :D

After that, we had our dinner at Pulau Tikus.

Mua Zhi (RM 2)

Is totally different from Japanese Mua Zhi. Japanese Mua Zhi is like there's filling inside the glutinous rice ball. But this one, there's nothing inside, instead, they sprinkle peanuts powder on it. SUPER AWESOME if you are a peanut lover. :) I ate 2 plates of this. :x

Reached hotel, showered. Then out again to 1st Avenue. The latest mall in Penang.

Coincidentally, is Wednesday that night. Baskin Robin is having Pink Wednesday discount ! We ordered Royal Banana for half the price !
