Hey guys! A Level exam is finally finished and
I've done my ABRSM Practical Piano exam too!
So happy, I'm finally free from exams! :)
I did so many things during my free times
- I bake brownies
- I bake butter cake
- I sew Melvin and myself a domokun each
- I sew *secret* for da jie as her birthday present
- I made chilled cheesecake with Ying Phin
My holiday is not as boring yet
Perhaps another week, when I done with everything?
Feels like making myself a cup of fresh fruit juice now
hmmmm...
Okay, back to the topic
Today, I'm going to teach you guys how to make a domokun by yourself!
Is as easy as taking off your pants and pee
wtf
I took these photos when I did the girl domokun for myself
the measurement is a bit different from the one I did for Melvin
- Fabric scissors
- Needles
- Stuffing
- Thread
- Uhu glue
- Pink and Purple felt (for ribbon)
- White felt (for teeth)
- Brown felt (for body and hands)
- Black felt (for eyes)
1. Fold a A4 size into half and cut then cut the sharp edge to a rounder edge
2. Cut 4 pieces of round top with flat bottom er, look at the picture below
This is for the hand part
3. Blanket stitch 2 of the pieces together, so you can have 2 hands!
Remember not to stitch the whole thing!
Leave the flat part un - stitch!
4. Add in suitable amount of stuffing
5. Cut out the 2 round circles from the black felt, 1 rectangle from the red felt and 2 zig zag from the white felt
The length of the teeth should be same length as the rectangle
And cut the sharp edge of both the teeth and the red rectangle to a rounder edge
6. Uhu glue the teeth onto the red felt
7. Sew the mouth onto 1 of the brown felt
8. Uhu glue the eyes
9. Sew up the empty brown felt and the one with face features together
Dont forget the hands!
And you will have something like this
This Domo's mouth is a wee bit too big
You can adjust the size you want though
:)
And you are done! If you wanna add ribbon to indicate thats a girl
10. Cut a rectangular pink felt and a strip of purple felt
11. Fold your ribbon
12. Wrap the strip around the ribbon and stitch it
Lastly, Uhu glue in onto your domo!
And tada! XD
Hope you guys have fun doing this!
Cheers!
