My LURVE Affair with Riley Wilkins

He looked angrily at me, and then threw the bowl of hot soup down the drain. I held back my tears and thought ‘I'm sorry Riley, I have to do it.’

"No, you are just fooling around. Tell me! You are just fooling around with me!" said Riley. All of sudden, he grabbed my waist and he planted his lips on mine. I was so shocked and my mind went blank for a few seconds. I could feel his hot wet tongue searching inside my mouth. As if searching for my weak point, so that I would admit to him that I was just joking. I held the side of his face and kissed him back. My hot tears rolled down from the corner of my eyes.

"Admit it dear. Tell him everything has happened." said the Angel in my mind.

"Hell no sweetheart! Don't tell him!" said the Devil

This time I chose the Devil. I pushed him away but he was way too strong. So I knee-kicked his crotch and ran away.

Flash back...

"Jake, I miss his mud-brown eyes. Can't the war in Iraq end faster?" I complained to Jacob.

Jacob, he’s my best friend. He’s just like my own personal priest. I could tell him everything, every secret, every problem. And he would just lend me his ears without any complaints.

"Chill Lil, chill. Ain't he the one who said he would be coming back before your 23rd birthday?" said Jacob, comforting me.

"But.. But.. I miss him so much. Ops, sorry Jake, got another incoming call. Call you later?"

"Sure sure. Bye Lil."

"Bye Jake."

I clicked off Jacob's call and click the incoming call.

"Hello, can I speak to Miss Lily Stone please?"

"Speaking. You are?"

"I'm Captain Mike from the U.S Military's Air Force."

Oh no, what had happened to Riley? I thought.

Riley, he’s my fiancé. He is one of the captains in the U.S Military. He has the most heart-melting mud-brown eyes that match his long eyes lashes and an innocent look that I love so much.

"I'm calling regarding your fiancé, Riley Wilkins. He was reported missing a week ago and we think that he might be a victim of a bomb explosion." All I could see was just little black dots and the next thing I knew, I was in the hospital.

Since the day Riley went to Iraq, I had no appetite to eat. I skipped my meals almost every day. While I was on the way to the hospital for a medical check-up, I passed by a grocery store. I planned to shop a bit for my kitchen. But I stopped when I heard a woman said, "Do you know that LURVE multigrains chips can make your dreams come true?"

"Excuse me, can I know where I could buy this LURVE multigrains chips? I said. Curious.

"Oh, you can buy it from any grocery stores. So Love, you want to make a wish huh?" said the women.

"Thanks." grinning.

I bought two packets of LURVE multigrains chips for the sake of fun and curiosity. Then I went to the hospital. When I reached there, the doctor handed me a huge brown envelope with my health report and X-rays in it. He explained every thing, every single detail of what had happened inside my body to me. I felt so shocked and lonely at the same time. I looked at the Lurve multigrains chips, and thought there were no such things as chips that could make my dreams come true.

It was another boring lifeless day for me ever since Riley went missing 3 months ago. I sat on the love couch staring out of the window. I reminisced about the times I had with Riley, those sweet moments. I smiled at thoughts of all the silly things we had done together. Suddenly, my concentration was broken by a knock on my front door. The moment I answered it, I saw a man with those familiar mud-brown eyes and the smile that I loved so much standing right in front of me.

"Happy Birth..." but before the man could finish, I ran over to him and hugged him as tightly as I could while my eyes flooded with tears of indescribable joy.

"Riley Wilkins! I hate you!" I sulked.

"Ow! Don't bite me! I promised you I would come back before your birthday right? See! Here am I!" Riley said while rubbing my back.

That day was the most memorable birthday I ever had. We had a wonderful candle light dinner and an indescribable romantic cosplay sex after that.

I ran. All of a sudden, I felt a severely sharp pain in my abdomen. I gasped for air, but I felt as if no air went into my lungs. I closed my eyes and lay on the damp concrete floor beside the road. I counted from 1 to 100 to wait for the pain to ease. When I stopped on 50, I could feel a warm hand holding my back, and the tears of the stranger drop on my face.

"Sweetheart! Jake told me everything. Why are you so stupid? Why didn't you tell me that you are suffering from Pancreatic cancer? Do you think that by breaking up with me, you can keep the pain to yourself? No! Lil, don't die." sobbing.

"I love you Riley. I'll miss you." I said. I gasped for air.

He kissed me with all the enthusiasm he had. His tears had ruined my make-up, my dress, my heart.

"I love you Lily Wilkins!" He gave me a tight hug and my heart stopped.

"What do you think?" a smile spread across his face.

"That means you died?"

"No, I'm bringing you back."

With a blink of my eyes, I was laying on Riley's muscular arm. He was snoring loudly beside me. I turned to face him and kissed his mouth with all the eagerness I had. He woke up and asked me what had happened to me. I told him I had the worst nightmare ever and he just laughed at my silliness.
